Video in, analysis out

I built this project by following a YouTube tutorial to learn a computer-vision video pipeline. The detection and tracking approach shown here comes from that tutorial.

The command-line workflow takes soccer footage and returns a processed video with player and ball tracking information drawn directly over the match.

The analysis includes possession, speed and distance information, player identification, and movement paths.

  • YOLOv8 player and ball detection
  • OpenCV tracking overlays
  • Speed and distance estimation
  • Video-in, video-out command-line flow
